Fulham’s best foot forward for local residents
We were delighted that the period music ensemble Arcangelo chose the Sands End Arts & Community Centre for its first open rehearsal of the year on Thursday 3rd March.
Arcangelo was making final preparations to its programme of English Baroque theatre music programme, with music by Henry Purcell and John Blow, prior to the company’s departure for the Musika-Musica Bilbao festival. Vocal soloists were Jessica Cale, Samuel Boden and Malachy Frame with Jonathan Cohen, founder and artistic director of Arcangelo, at the helm.
This was a free event for local people and it was good to see so many turn up to listen to the rehearsal and we kept the café open an hour longer for them to visit before the concert. We hope to welcome these BBC Proms artists and GRAMMY Award nominees back to the Sands End Arts & Community Centre soon.
