SEACC is delighted to announce that it has received £34,000 in funding in order to create the South Park Youth Basketball Club.
On Saturday 23 September SEACC is presenting a community event with a difference…
The event has been coordinated by one of our newest employees, Camille Holder. Camille originally joined SEACC as a volunteer and was awarded the “young volunteer” award at H&F’s Youth Achievement Awards 2023
She has coordinated this event to showcase the support available to the visually impaired and their families and provide a range of fun and engaging activities that all visitors to the centre can enjoy.
As well as the RSBC, we will be joined by The Guide Dogs, The Thomas Pocklington Trust and HF Mencap, and will be providing selected activities and games suitable for visually impaired children that everyone can enjoy and take part in, including Boccia and arts and crafts.
There will also be complimentary food available, kindly donated by Paul Bakery.
For our finale, we have a special talk delivered by Colin Gourlay from Ignite Me Workshop Theatre Workshop who will be providing a humorous and poignant recollection of his experiences of being visually impaired.
It will be a day to remember, so we hope you can all join us for this special event.
