Jeremy Thomas – How to stay sane in an insane world
7.3opm
Tickets are £10 and can be purchased from Eventbrite or in reception.
With good humour and practical advice, this talk from Jeremy Thomas will firstly follow Jeremy’s own story of bipolar disorder and addiction, and then share helpful mental health tips for everyone using his dashboard of dials.
Jeremy is an acclaimed author, speaker and inspirational survivor of mental illness who is dedicated to bringing good advice to others around mental health.
Jeremy has been giving talks to schools, colleges, and businesses all over the UK and internationally, bringing a well-received and appreciated amount of sincerity and humour to the increasingly relevant discussion of mental health.
Jeremy’s talks are built on authenticity, humour, and practical solutions. He is a firm believer in the concept that in order to make an omelette, you have to break a few eggs…
The talks are based around Jeremy’s own experience of dealing with depression, addiction and manic depression and offer a series of practical and useful tips on how to stay mentally healthy and get the best out of life.
At the centre of all the talks is a simple and powerful belief, ‘Prevention is better than a cure’. And that ultimately there is no cure, but many steps to prevent and protect from negative mental health.
The main aim of every talk is to normalise the subject of mental health and replace any stigma with a sense of fun and bring knowledge, awareness, and enjoyment to this ever more important subject. Humour is present in every layer of the talks, demonstrating our belief using humour is the best way of talking about this sensitive subject.
