Community and delicious hot food at SEACC this winter.
We were very excited to finally open the doors to the Walnut Tree Café on 15 February 2022. Despite storm Eunice that same week, we managed to keep going and are so pleased to see that we have some regulars already.
This is a community café, run by the SEACC Trust with all profits go back into the charity. At the moment it is only open in the week from 10am to 4pm, but weekend opening will follow as the weather gets better and as the Sands End Arts & Community Centre continues to develop.
Having launched with breakfast pastries and cakes, we recently started offering lunch in the way of soup and panini. This is only the beginning and updates will be added to the website and social media, so keep an eye out.
We want to thank Mary McCarthy for her sterling work in helping getting our café going and to her assistant, Sandra Grey for her delicious home made cakes. Also, a big thank you to Tideway and its help with kitting out the kitchen.
