Christmas Concert by We Music

About We Music
We Music 4 Kids is a children’s string orchestra experience where children learn to play an instrument and express themselves through music. We combine music with storytelling to make learning engaging and fun. Children develop their musical skills by interpreting the story, characters, and plot through their instruments, helping them connect music with emotions and creativity.

Join us for a heartwarming Christmas celebration inspired by How the Grinch Stole Christmas on Friday, 5th December at 6:00 pm at the Sands End Community Centre. We Music children from Holy Cross, Servite, Melcombe, and Bousfield Primary Schools, together with the Bousfield School Choir, will come together as one big musical family to fill the evening with festive joy. Get ready to sing along to your favourite Christmas songs and help the Grinch grow her heart!

Break Time – A ‘social’ space for learning disabled and neurodivergent adults.

Tuesdays, 6pm-7.30pm

A ‘social’ space for learning disabled and neurodivergent adults.

Connection looks different for everyone. Break Time is a social group space for learning disabled and neurodivergent adults to come together and meet people on their own terms. We support the understanding of different social dynamics; involving a facilitated discussion group alongside an open space where people are encouraged to show up in whichever way they feel most comfortable. Join in the conversation, chat with someone one-to-one or wear your headphones – there’s no pressure. We look forward to welcoming you all.

Alan was born in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, in 1951 and educated at Tanglin School in Singapore, where he won the Henry Yates Thompson Art Prize—his first brush with creative recognition. In 1969, he moved to Paris to pursue graphic design, drawn by the city’s artistic spirit. Though his career later shifted to finance, leading to senior corporate roles and ultimately service as Lord Mayor of London (2014–15) with a knighthood in 2016, Alan has always carried an artist’s perspective. From Parisian sketches to travels with his wife Gilly—once spanning 28 countries in a single year—his story is marked by creativity, adaptability, and a belief that humour and luck are as vital as hard work.
